that's mold growing on K's pillowcase.mold.
and what's worse is that i have no idea
how long it's been there
or when the pillowcase was last changed.
oh, and the pillow itself smelled grossly musty
and was a little bit damp.

If it's any comfort to you, I found dried cat vomit on the windowsill this afternoon.
I had mold growing in my toilet for a week before I felt inspired to clean it.
I wouldn't know if my kids have mold growing on their pillow cases, I don't dare go in their rooms.
they're just trying to be nice.
